Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a Ab Initio Platform Engineer / Administrator – Kubernetes for their Irving¸ TX/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead end to end geospatial data solution design by translating complex business needs into scalable Abinitio based workflows that reliably support analytic and operational decision processes for global stakeholders.
  • Oversee administration of Abinitio environments by managing projects graphs schedules and resource allocation in a structured way that maintains platform stability and optimizes processing performance for large geospatial datasets.
  • Provide comprehensive platform governance by defining configuration standards access policies and monitoring routines that protect sensitive location intelligence while ensuring compliance with enterprise data management practices.
  • Drive containerized deployment strategies by configuring and tuning workloads on Kubernetes Volcano KAI and Kueue so that geospatial applications and data pipelines can run efficiently across hybrid infrastructure with consistent reliability.
  • Coordinate capacity planning and performance optimization by analyzing usage trends job execution patterns and system bottlenecks to propose targeted improvements that reduce processing time and improve cost effectiveness of data operations.
  • Implement resilient operational procedures by building and maintaining restart backup and recovery routines for Abinitio and containerized workloads so that critical geospatial services remain available during incidents and maintenance windows.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers data scientists and domain experts by aligning workflow design metadata structures and spatial processing logic to deliver accurate high quality insights that support strategic initiatives.
  • Guide continuous improvement of data quality by setting validation rules anomaly detection checks and reconciliation processes across ingestion transformation and publication steps to ensure dependable location based information for internal and external use.
  • Develop clear technical documentation by preparing environment runbooks deployment guides and operational standards that enable consistent support onboarding and knowledge sharing across the wider technology teams.
  • Support hybrid work model effectiveness by using remote friendly collaboration tools and structured communication routines so that project milestones incident handling and change activities run smoothly regardless of physical location.
  • Coordinate day shift operations by planning releases monitoring key jobs and engaging in timely incident resolution during business hours so that stakeholders receive predictable service levels for mission critical geospatial workloads.
  • Champion geospatial data reuse and standardization by promoting shared components reference layers and common enrichment patterns that increase efficiency and contribute to more informed decisions that can positively influence community and environmental outcomes.
  • Engage in proactive risk management by identifying platform vulnerabilities misconfigurations and process gaps then driving remediation actions that strengthen system resilience and safeguard the integrity of geospatial analytics.
 
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate strong hands on experience with Abinitio admin including environment setup project management scheduling and operational support for complex data flows handling substantial geospatial volumes.
  • Possess extensive practical expertise with Kubernetes Volcano KAI and Kueue to orchestrate container workloads configure resource management and maintain robust deployments for analytics and data engineering platforms.
  • Bring seven to eleven years of proven background in enterprise data ecosystems covering data integration processing performance tuning and operational governance within large scale or multinational organizations.
  • Show solid understanding of geospatial concepts including coordinate systems spatial joins and location based enrichment so that data pipelines reliably deliver context rich insights for mapping and spatial analysis use cases.
  • Apply strong skills in monitoring automation and scripting using appropriate tools to orchestrate routines alerts and remediation steps that sustain high availability and predictable performance of core platforms.
  • Exhibit proficiency in hybrid environment operations by working effectively across on premise and cloud infrastructure while respecting organizational security standards and ensuring consistent experiences for users.
