Role Overview

This role supports a critical enterprise application environment with growing reliance on containerized workloads. The position centers on the stability, performance, and operational efficiency of production AKS solutions while contributing to broader modernization efforts toward modular microservices and containerized services. The engineer will provide the technical depth needed for day-to-day platform operations and help improve response to production issues while reducing key-person dependency risk.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain the stability, performance, and operational efficiency of existing AKS-based solutions while supporting broader modernization toward a modular microservices architecture.

• Help reduce key-person dependency risk, improve response times for production issues, and provide technical depth for day-to-day platform operations.

• Contribute to the modernization of legacy monolithic applications into containerized services.

• Help establish best practices for Kubernetes operations, deployment automation, observability, and platform governance.

Required Technical Skills

• Advanced hands-on capability with MS Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Advanced experience designing, deploying, configuring, and managing AKS environments in production.

• Advanced capability troubleshooting complex issues, supporting incident resolution, and implementing scalable, resilient platform patterns.

• Advanced experience with Azure cloud services, container orchestration, and production support.
