Data Scientist, AI Training (Remote DE/IN/US, Contract, up to $100/hr) — SME Careers via AI Gig Scout

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that provides AI training data to many of the world's largest AI companies and foundation-model labs, is looking for Data Scientists for fully remote, hourly paid contractor work. Rates by country (hourly): Germany up to USD 100, India up to USD 60, the United States up to USD 100.

You will review AI-generated analytical reasoning, code and model outputs and generate high-quality reference solutions and explanations for complex data problems: assessing solutions for accuracy, clarity and adherence to the prompt; identifying errors in methodology, modeling choices or statistical reasoning; fact-checking quantitative claims; writing clear step-by-step model solutions; and rating and comparing multiple AI responses on correctness and reasoning quality.

Requirements: a Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related field; 5+ years as a Data Scientist or in a closely related analytical role on end-to-end ML projects; strong Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn); a solid background in statistics, experimental design and applied probability; hands-on experience building, evaluating and deploying ML models; advanced SQL with large datasets from warehouses or data lakes; and minimum C1 English. Important: there is no immediate project for this role; if qualified, you will be among the first experts contacted when relevant opportunities arise.
