Information Security Analyst Expert (Remote, Contract, AI training) — AfterQuery via AI Gig Scout

AfterQuery, an expert data lab that builds evaluation and training data for frontier AI labs, is hiring information security analysts as independent contractors to author and grade the detection and incident response scenarios those evaluations run on. Pay is $90 to $135/hr, set from your experience and paid weekly via Stripe. The work is fully remote and async, with a minimum of 10 hours per week and no maximum.

You will author realistic security scenarios from alert triage through incident response and remediation, write reference answers with the investigative reasoning behind each decision, grade model output for technical accuracy and operational soundness, and flag guidance that reads plausible but would weaken security posture.

Requirements: 2+ years of professional security operations, incident response or vulnerability management experience; hands-on experience with tooling such as SIEM, EDR and vulnerability scanners; depth in at least one area such as detection engineering, threat hunting or GRC; clear written English. Preferred: Security+, CySA+, CISSP or GIAC certifications, SOC leadership or incident commander experience, and Python or PowerShell scripting.
