Software Integration Engineer - Linux/Scripting/Kubernetes - 6+ yrs of Experience - TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance
Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Integration Engineer who will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and
operational support of the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) component of the CASA Compute Environment (CCE). The CCE provides secure, multi-tenant, high-performance, and highly available Kubernetes clusters operating within a Linux-based infrastructure. Tasking shall ensure platform reliability, scalability, security compliance, and optimal cluster performance in support of mission and application requirements.

Salary Range
The projected compensation range is 218K - 225K (annualized USD)
Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individualâs particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements
Capabilities
- Provide expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
- Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
- Generate documentation for the full software stack.
- Update software for sustainment support.
- Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.

Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
Requirements
Required Skills
ï· Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
ï· Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
ï· Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Podman
ï· Demonstrated experience administrating and monitoring Kubernetes clusters
ï· Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads (ingress, performance, networking, storage, etc.)
ï· Experience with IaC principles, concepts, and methodologies using automation tools including Ansible
ï· Experience writing, deploying, and maintaining Helm Charts
ï· Experience using Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration
Desired Skills
ï§ Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
ï§ Experience working in a DevOps environment that uses Agile principles and methodologies
ï§ Experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus /Grafana
ï§ Experience with or willingness to learn development of Python applications (REST services, microservices, etc.)
ï§ CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
OR
The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting
COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
